1.Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or submitting any request through it, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the Services.

2.The Services

The website allows residents and the public to, among other things, view barangay information and announcements, request barangay documents (such as Barangay Clearance, Certificate of Residency or Indigency, Business Clearance, and Barangay ID), transact with barangay desks, and access transparency information. The Barangay may add, change, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

3.Eligibility and Accounts

• The Services are intended primarily for residents of Barangay San Agustin and persons with legitimate transactions with the barangay.
• If an account is required, you agree to provide true, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your log-in credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4.Accuracy of Information You Provide

You agree that all information you submit is truthful and accurate. Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent information may result in denial or cancellation of a request, invalidation of any document issued, and may expose you to liability under applicable laws, including penalties for falsification.

5.Document Requests, Verification, and Fees

• Submitting a request does not guarantee issuance. Requests are subject to verification and approval by authorized barangay personnel.
• Documents may be released only after applicable requirements are met and any lawful fees are paid, in accordance with barangay ordinances and the Local Government Code.
• Any fees are set by, and payable to, the Barangay. Official receipts are issued for payments received.
• Documents issued through the Services may include a verification feature (such as a QR code) to confirm authenticity.

6.Acceptable Use

When using the Services, you agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, servers, or accounts of others;
• Upload malicious code, or scrape, harvest, or misuse data on the site; or
• Post or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or that violates the rights of others.

7.Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012).

8.Intellectual Property

The barangay name, official seal, content, and materials on this website are the property of the Barangay or used with permission, and may not be copied or used without authority, except for your personal, non-commercial use of barangay information and documents you are entitled to.

9.Availability and Disclaimers

We work to keep the Services available and accurate, but they are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, and information on the site may occasionally be incomplete or out of date. For official confirmation, please transact with the Barangay Hall.

10.Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Barangay San Agustin and its officials, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services, including from delays, errors, or unavailability, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11.Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services, or to any account, if these Terms are violated or if necessary to protect the Services, our users, or the barangay.

12.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from the Services shall be subject to the appropriate venue in the Province of Zambales, without prejudice to the barangay justice system (Katarungang Pambarangay) where applicable.

13.Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
